How To Create An Organization In AWS

In today’s blog post, we will discuss how to create an Organization in AWS and add members to it. To create an AWS organization, you need one active AWS account with admin access. If you want to add member accounts in your organization, then you need to have separate active AWS accounts with admin access for each member accounts.
How To Create An Organization In AWS:
Prerequisites:
- Two active AWS account with admin access.
Step 1: Login to the AWS account where you need to create the organization.
This account will be our management account and we will create the organization in this account and then invite other members account to this account.
Step 2: Navigate to AWS Organization service.
Step 3: Click ‘Create an Organization”.
Our AWS organization successfully created.
Next, we need to validate our email address to active the organization and start sending invites to member accounts. You will receive an email from AWS, click on the link to validate your email id.
Step 4: Click on “Add and AWS account” to add a new member account inside your AWS organization.
Step 5: Select “Invite an existing AWS account”, provide the AWS account (member account) email id or account id and click on “Send Invitation”.
Next, we need to accept this invitation from the member account.
Step 6: Login to member account and navigate to AWS organization.
You will have a pending invitation.
Click “Accept invitation” to be part of the AWS organization.
Now if you login back to the management account, you will be able to see this member account inside your organization.
