In today’s blog post, we will discuss how to deploy a multi-container web app using Azure App Service.

How to deploy a multi-container web app in Azure App Service?

Prerequisites:

Azure CLI installed and configured

Step 1: Clone the sample voting app code that uses multiple containers.

Step 2: Create a new resources group for your Azure app service.

Step 3: Create an app service plan for your multi-container application deployment.

Step 4: Create a multi-container app using Azure App services.

The above command will do the following things

  • Create an app with the specified name.
  • Zip deploy files from the current working directory to the web app.

It may take 2-3 mins to create all the resources and the voting app to come online. You can reach the voting and result endpoints of the app using the below links

Voting – http://appservicedemomulticontainerapp.azurewebsites.net:5000

Result – http://appservicedemomulticontainerapp.azurewebsites.net:5001
